Manipulating Formulae: Questions, Worksheets and Solutions
Rearranging a formula to make a different letter the subject is a small skill that shows up everywhere, in physics and chemistry as much as maths. It is worth twenty minutes of practice to never be stuck on it again.
What you need to be able to do
- Make any letter the subject of a formula
- Handle a letter that appears more than once
- Deal with squares, roots and fractions while rearranging
- Substitute correctly once you have rearranged

Want someone to go through it with you?
I teach manipulating formulae in person in Limerick and online, in small groups. If you are stuck on this topic, that is usually one conversation, not a term of work.
