Factorising: Questions, Worksheets and Solutions
Factorising is the single most useful skill in algebra. It turns up in quadratics, in fractions, in calculus and in the factor theorem. There are four methods and it is worth being fast at all of them.
What you need to be able to do
- Take out a common factor
- Factorise by grouping
- Factorise a quadratic, including when the x squared has a coefficient
- Use the factor theorem on a cubic

Want someone to go through it with you?
I teach factorising in person in Limerick and online, in small groups. If you are stuck on this topic, that is usually one conversation, not a term of work.
